Bitumen landed cost calculator

Enter your supplier quotation and additional cargo costs. Compare in USD per net tonne, with freight and insurance counted once.

Blank additional costs are counted as zero, not confirmed to be free. Include any applicable packing, inspection, terminal, inland delivery, import charges and financing costs that are outside your quote. All inputs use USD.

How the estimate works

Entered total = net MT × quoted USD/MT + additional cargo costs.

Divide by net MT for cost per tonne. Drum weight is excluded from saleable product quantity. Blank additional costs count as zero; this does not mean the service is free.

FOB

Add ocean freight, insurance and downstream costs outside the quote. Check the named shipment port and inclusions.

CFR

Ocean freight is treated as included. Add separately arranged insurance and other excluded charges. Check destination handling.

CIF

Ocean freight and quoted insurance are treated as included. Check cover, destination, import and local delivery charges.

Illustrative arithmetic only: 20 net MT × $400/MT FOB + $1,000 freight + $100 insurance + $200 other costs = $9,300 per cargo, or $465/net MT. These are not current prices or an offer. Drum tare, fill weight, container payload and carrier limits require separate checks.
